Trezor Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Trezor device securely

1

Connect Your Trezor

Connect your Trezor device to your computer using the provided USB cable. For Trezor Model T, you may need to connect the cable to both the device and your computer.

Important:

Only use the official Trezor cable or a high-quality USB cable to ensure proper connection and security.

2

Install Trezor Bridge

Trezor Bridge is a communication tool that allows your Trezor device to work with supported browsers. Download and install it from the official Trezor website.

3

Visit Trezor Wallet

4

Install Firmware

Your Trezor will prompt you to install the latest firmware. This ensures your device has the most recent security updates and features.

Warning:

Do not disconnect your Trezor during firmware installation. This may damage your device.

5

Create Your Wallet

Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your wallet. You'll be given the option to create a new wallet or recover an existing one.

6

Backup Your Recovery Seed

Your Trezor will generate a recovery seed (12-24 words). Write these down on the provided recovery card and store it in a safe place. Never digitize your seed phrase.

Security Critical:

Your recovery seed is the only way to restore your funds if your Trezor is lost or damaged. Keep it secure and never share it with anyone.

7

Set a PIN

Protect your device with a PIN. The Trezor device will show you a randomized number grid to prevent keyloggers from capturing your PIN.

8

Start Using Your Trezor

Your device is now ready to use! You can receive cryptocurrencies by sharing your addresses, or send funds by connecting your Trezor and confirming transactions.
